The Gatorgrinder reduces all forms of sanitary waste to a non-clogging slurry and pumps it through a network of small-diameter pipes. Designed specifically for operation in warmer climates, the Gatorgrinder is an efficient, economic station for single-family homes.
Drawings & Installation Instructions
The Gatorgrinder grinder pump station consists of a pump and tank. The grinder pump, motor controls and level-sensing are integrated into a compact unit, easily removable for service. The fiberglass tank is supplied complete with discharge fitting installed, simplifying installation of the grinder pump and plumbing.
Solids are ground into fine particles that pass easily through the pump, check valve and small-diameter pipe lines — even objects that should not be in sewage, such as plastic, rubber, fiber, wood, etc. The 1-1/4" discharge connection can be adapted to any piping materials that meet local code requirements.
The tank is constructed of laminated fiberglass and is available in several depths to accommodate capacity and site requirements. Other tank sizes are available upon request. E/One requires the installation of its stainless steel UNI-LATERAL to prevent backflow from the sewer system from entering the grinder pump station.
About the E/One Grinder Pump
The grinder pump is automatically activated and runs for very short periods. Electrical consumption of the grinder pump is low — a household that uses 250 gallons of water per day should use less than 10 kwhr per month to run the pump. (Actual water and power usage will vary.)
E/One grinder pumps do not require preventive maintenance and boast an average of eight to 10 years between service calls. If service is required, the unique, one-piece core eliminates the need for in-field troubleshooting and servicing — the pump core can be quickly pulled out and replaced, meaning minimal maintenance costs and inconvenience for the homeowner.
Motor: 1 HP, 1725 rpm, high torque, capacitor start, thermally protected, 240 or 120 volt, 60 hertz, 1 phase
Inlet Connections: 4" inlet grommet standard for DWV pipe. Other inlet configurations available from factory.
Discharge Connections: Pump discharge terminates in 1-1/4" NPT female thread. Can easily be adapted to 1-1/4" PVC pipe or any other material required by local codes. E/One requires the installation of its stainless steel UNI-LATERAL to prevent backflow from the sewer system from entering the grinder pump station.

For a standard 240V single-phase installation, a dedicated 30A breaker is required, with #10 wire, to the E/One panel. You need to bring L1, L2, N and Gnd.
If only 208V power is available, a buck boost transformer is required to boost 208V to 240V. The E/One pump requires a minimum of 216V to start and run reliably.
