How the E/One Pressure Sewer System Works

  1. An E/One grinder pump appliance, installed at each property, accepts gravity-fed wastewater from each dwelling.
  2. After being macerated, the wastewater slurry is pumped through a sealed small-diameter pipe network installed just below the ground’s surface or frost line.
  3. Following the natural contour of the land and because the output is pressurized, the wastewater can be transported horizontally over two miles or 185 feet vertically, potentially eliminating lift stations.
  4. Ultimately the pipe network will discharge into a manhole, existing lift station, pressure main, or directly into a wastewater treatment plant.

Setting The Standard

As the inventor and leader in pressure sewer technology, E/One has been setting the standard for what’s possible in the industry for more than 55 years. At the core of our system is the E/One grinder pump, installed at each property, providing unparalleled flexibility and reliability for developers, engineers, and communities alike.

The E/One System

We've perfected the most-rugged, longest-lasting sewer system in the industry. This economical and highly reliable central sewer system can be installed on any terrain - flat, wet, rocky, even on sites with dramatic elevation changes.

Sustainability is Key

E/One's pressure sewer systems are leak-resistant - reducing environmental contamination risks and minimizing I&I exposure long-term for municipalities. Their smaller footprint and lower reliance on extensive grading or deep excavation also minimize ecological disruption during installation. These attributes align with modern buyers’ preferences for environmentally responsible communities, giving developments an edge in competitive real estate markets.
